Chalet Vanoise is nestled on the edge of the larch forest in the highest hamlet of Le Fornet at an altitude of 1950m, with easy access to the best snow in resort. Sleeping up to 14 people in five spacious and modern bedrooms, the chalet is spread over four floors and provides over 250m2 of living space. Chalet Vanoise has wonderfully generous living and dining areas and is offered on a bed and breakfast basis for groups wanting a little more flexibility during their stay.

Chalet Vanoise is a fairly unique property - there are very few luxury self catering chalets in the resort and even fewer that can sleep 14 guests together in a beautifully spacious setting. The chalet is 250sqm in total area and is located in the same building as her sister chalet, Sarire. Le Fornet is not only the highest part of Val d'Isère at 1950m it is also by far the prettiest area with an old stone bridge connecting the traditional ski village to the main road, and unrivalled views up and down the Vanoise national park. The chalet also sits beautifully next to the larch trees which not only protect the property during the winter but also are home to chamois and black squirrels. There is no compromise on access to the ski area from the chalet and you can easily detour from the blue Mangard run or a the steeper Forét black run to head back. The chalet is not served by our 4x4 driving service but the frequent free ski bus stop is 200m from the chalet and runs every few minutes until the small hours of the morning.

Vanoise commands a special spot in the resort and is perfect for groups or families that want great access to the mountains but a safe and quiet spot for children to play outside in an evening. If you love your off-piste skiing, the property gives direct access to the famous off piste areas of the Grand Vallon and Col Pers. The chalet is often deep in snow for most of the winter and has a higher annual snow depth than the main village area. Beginners and children alike will be pleased to learn that in two quick lifts you will find gently sloping glacier skiing with unrivalled snow at 3300m.

Chalet Vanoise is unique, its a mix of contemporary grey local stone and large stretches of mountain larch wood walls matched with rococo mirrors and parisian chic. The main entrance is on the ground level where you will find a heated ski room for the chalet with good storage and boot warmers. Here you will also find two covered parking spots, a rarity in the valley. If you require more it's a large garage so please just ask before you set off. A sweeping staircase rises throughout all floors of the chalet and brings you first onto the living and dining level. An open plan kitchen with induction hobs sit alongside a large reclaimed wood table which can seat 14 for supper. The living space has an open fireplace surrounded by seating which looks out over the east facing deck and in the spring catches the morning sun. There is also a large flatscreen tv with two sofas which are ideal for slouching and watching tv or a movie.

The bedrooms have a large family home style arrangement, the second floor has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. One contains adult sized reclaimed wood bunks and a unique built in queen-sized bunk-bed, perfect for children. The other two bedrooms have fixed king-sized beds. Ascending to the top floor, the mountains come more into view and you will find a large master suite with a king bed and its own bathroom plus a slightly smaller fixed king en-suite room with a large terrace and west facing view down to the main village.
